Fight Club Martial Arts provides a distance training program that allows you to train in Muay Thai, or Jeet Kune Do even if you are not located near our main school or are unable to attend regular classes.

Who’s it for?
Distance training is designed for students who may not be able to attend a scheduled class on a regular basis. More importantly, it allows you the opportunity to train under our qualified instructors if you do not have a qualified school in your area.

How does it work?
Distance learning tuition is paid for on a quarterly basis (every 3 months). Our instructors will work closely with you to ensure your goals and particular needs are being met. Each week, you will receive a flow chart of what to practice. At the end of the week, you will submit a video to our instructors for review and we will point out corrections that need to be made. A new flow chart will be drawn up based on these results.

Our instructors are also available for support via email or phone at no extra charge.

Requirements
In a word: dedication. Distance learning is not for everyone. It requires discipline as students are held responsible for maintaining their own training regiment. This is why we require 3 months of tuition at a time: its a program that will only work if you are going to put in the necessary time.

You will also need a reliable video camera. It is a requirement to submit a training video once a week. Without the video, we can not correct mistakes in your technique and will be unable to form a proper lesson plan. No video, no flow chart!

I’m ready! How do I get started?
First, you should contact our instructors at fightclubmartialarts@gmail.com OR call (302)396-7438. An interview with you is required to get started. If we all decide to move forward you will receive your first flow chart once payment is received. You can pay us by mailing a check to the school or by paying through our online market. As soon as the payment clears, you will receive your first flow chart within 48 hours. After that, each subsequent flow chart will go out once our instructors have had the chance to review your training video.

Tips
Plan to train 3-5 days a week. If you are going to train less than two days a week, you may not see substantial results. A typical training schedule can be Mon – Wed – Fri or Mon – Tues – Wed – Thurs – Sat… etc. At the end of the week after you have had the chance to practice the skills on the flow chart make the training video.

Don’t forget, our instructors are available to answer any questions you may have! Don’t assume if you are unsure! It is better to ask than to train something wrong all week.

While you do not need anything in particular, it will help if you plan to set up a training hall in your home and get some basics. We recommend a heavy bag and enough space to perform the various exercises. It is also recommended for Jeet Kune Do students to purchase a Trapping Dummy. If you own any kind of striking surface, then it is also recommended that you get proper hand protection: wraps and gloves.

Disclaimer
Here is a real important point we need to make. Because of the nature of the program you will not be ranked through the videos alone. In order to maintain the integrity of the school and of our teaching programs, we can not and will not issue ranks to students who do not take the time to train with us in person. No exceptions. Students CAN attain rank by scheduling a training camp at our school or by making the necessary accommodations to have an instructor come out to them. This is a separate price and is not included in the Distance Learning tuition.
